Our learnings with the @membershippzzle played a major role in our growth last few months..

We're happy to share our knowledge with @jayrosen_nyu and @azirulnick as I'm a strong believer that peer learning is the fastest path towards sustainability in journalism.

On top of that, last 2 months we’ve produced 80% LESS content and despite the crisis, our membership program keeps growing.

At this rate, we’re heading towards 100% sustainability in 2022.

And it’s all thanks to a great community.

In October, @rjeribeiro and I projected to @OpenSociety & @OSFJournalism that memberships would cover 17% of costs in 2020.
It’s only April and we already surpassed that.

It used to be transactional and now it is 100% mission based and focused on involving the community in our work.

Our content is 100% free, our website has no ads whatsoever, and we don’t offer any mugs or T-shirts.
