The ignorance under this tweet is crazy. What is meant to be basic knowledge, but a lot of people don't understand, and they don't even want to understand.
The dumbest set of people are the ones who love arguing blindly and ignorantly.
“The northern states that have shariah are more affected by bandits." Yen yen yen.
For the sake of tomorrow, before you shame your ancestors, the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria restricts Sharia Law to personal matters (marriage, divorce, finances, etc.) and does not allow it to handle criminal cases, under which kidnapping, banditry & terrorism fall.
It has no jurisdiction on that.
If you have five minutes with the next Governor of Kaduna State, what is the first issue you would ask him to solve?
As we prepare for a new chapter in our state, I want to hear directly from you.
I spent 10 days on the Mambilla Plateau — a vast, breathtaking landscape that can rival any plain in the world. One of the most beautiful topographies on earth. That experience was worth every moment. Certainly one of Nigeria's best kept secrets, one that ought not to be.
The turbaning ceremony of the inimitable @Abdulrahmanleme as the Madakin Mambilla made the visit historic in its own right. The Making of the Madaki offers a vignette of the man, his essence, and a culture that continues to hold its own in the 21st century.
In 2024, I went to 44 hospital in Kaduna, and I have seen terrorists who kill people for a living being brought to receive medical care.
But because of politics, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai was denied medical attention.
MORAL OF THE STORY: In NADECO’s Nigeria, being in the opposition is a bigger crime than terrorism.
Atiku by INEC 2023 figures came 2nd and is constitutionally barred from running for VP.
Obi feels too superior to be VP to Atiku, too inferior to challenge him in the ADC primaries and believes opposition focus should be on zoning - so he left.
Atiku is still in the coalition.
It was my pleasure hosting the African Democratic Congress North East leaders at my residence in Abuja following the appointment of Daniel Bwala (Talban Adamawa) from Adamawa State as the party’s North East Vice Chairman.
I am even more grateful to hear that the visit was aimed at honouring my contributions to the growth of the party. Thank you very much indeed for the gesture - AA
Datti’s politics is auditioning as a banger boy on TV. To speak this way about the man whose coattails carried you to political relevance is not the thought process of a normal person. For someone who could not even win his polling unit, this is a curious way to show gratitude.
I am short of words to adequately express how deeply grateful I am for the overwhelming show of support I received over the weekend in Gembu, Taraba State, at my turbanning ceremony as Madakin Mambilla. To be so honoured by the Mambilla Emirate Council and His Royal Majesty, Dr. Shehu Audu Baju II, Ta Mboon Mambilla, and President of the Sardauna Traditional Council, is a privilege I will carry with humility for the rest of my life.
This, as I have said elsewhere, is the highest of all the honours I have received, for it places upon me the ambassadorial responsibility of a community I have so passionately championed, respected, and loved.
The turnout of friends, colleagues, and distinguished principals from across the nation, who defied the distance and braved the roads to stand with me, represents a debt I cannot afford to repay, except through this sincere expression of my eternal gratitude for such extraordinary support and solidarity.
That solidarity, in truth, belongs not to me alone, but equally to the Mambilla Emirate, which remains deeply grateful to have received such distinguished guests who came not only to honour me, but also to witness its vast natural wonders, rich heritage, and breathtaking landscapes, comparable to the finest nature-based destinations anywhere in the world.
On behalf of my family and the emirate, let it be known that none of this is taken for granted. We are who we are because of the people around us, those who stand with us in the rain and in the sun. You have done so with confidence and love, and you have left us speechless.
So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
— Abdulrahman Usman Leme
Madakin Mambilla
BDL said Atiku has never criticized bandits and that's why he called him “Kachalla”, but I cannot think of any politician in Nigeria who criticized the action of these terrorist and inaction of the government like Atiku Abubakar since 2018- to date.
Babachir is just a shameless hypocrite, who bank on gullible Nigerian’s emotional attachment to faith, to derive agenda where there is none, and score political point.
Kwankwaso is the only governor that lost his re-election in Kano in this republic. Every governor had 2 consecutive terms except him. He was the political darling of Obasanjo. Yet, Kwankwaso was defeated by Ibrahim Shekarau who was a former classroom teacher. Shekarau was even demoted by Kwankwaso in the state civil service maliciously and mocked him for having nobody except God. Well, God made Shekarau the governor in that election. His Obasanjo and power of incumbency couldn't help him.
In 2007, Kwankwaso handpicked Ahmed Bichi under the same PDP because he was afraid to run. Shekarau defeated his candidate and got his second term despite the PDP being the ruling party. Again, Obasanjo couldn't help him. His Minister of Defence position couldn't help him.
I am an eye witness to these events in Kano. So, do not be afraid of humans who think they can play God. History has shown that they are weak and vulnerable when the people are determined to defeat them. Every beginning has an end.
Babachir inadvertently did the opposite of what he intended to achieve.
He managed to get even those in the APC to speak in support of AA.
Anyway, congratulations to all ADC members on the inglorious exit of BD Lawal, aka the grasscutter!
BREAKING: Former Adamawa North Senator, Ishaku Abbo, has publicly called out the hypocrisy of Babachir David Lawal over the ongoing ADC crisis in Adamawa, and BDL exit from ADC.
Responding to Lawal’s recent comments, Abbo accused him of double standard, he benefited from the party’s rigging process when it favors him, but complaining when his preferred candidate lost out.
He further alleged that Lawal contributed to the destruction of the ADC structure in the state and questioned his loyalty to the party.
Babachir Lawal is a political liability to any party in Nigeria. No one should have his type in his team. I will fault Atiku on that tbh. Beyond that, Babachir exit will not cost ADC a single vote and that doesn't stop the party from being the major opposition to Tinubu/APC.
Babachir Lawal leaving ADC is actually a good news for the party
I can't wait for all these old men to retire from politics permanently so we can build a party for my generation
This man is the reason for "Nafiu Bala faction", he is also the Binani and Bindow left ADC
He is also the reason for all the bad blood in North East ADC
Now that he has left, please let him not think of coming back
Peace ✌️
