@impailer@VaxHuntersCan Definitely keep. By the time the appointment rolls around, there will be no question as to eligibility and there shouldn’t be a problem.
@ZNabbus@VaxHuntersCan All of Toronto is considered a hotspot by the province (provincial clinics and most pharmacies seem to be following provincial eligibility). City clinics (pop ups, hospitals) are focused on vaccinating specific postal codes in the city.
@Teddy3136@VaxHuntersCan It’s probably going to be a while. The City announced the Sprint postal code focus on Thursday. The majority of Ciry run clinics (popups and hospitals) are giving priority to those postal codes now. If you want something local to get your second dose, you can try a pharmacy.
@Lisa09493052 @VaxHuntersCan It certainly seems that way. If you have the means the travel out there for your second dose and can get it faster that way, you may want to consider it - it would leave one extra dose for someone that may really need it in your community.
@cseesit@VaxHuntersCan@WDGPublicHealth I will also add, if you have means to a car and don't mind to travel a bit to get her a vaccine, look outside your PHU. Surrounding areas may have better availability and supply. If you need any help, please let me know.
@cseesit@VaxHuntersCan@WDGPublicHealth That is very frustrating and I understand how much we want to protect our parents and grandparents. Remember - your mom is eligible now. You do not have to wait until Monday. Call some pharmacies around you and explain your situation. They might have availability for her soon
@MaramMahender@VaxHuntersCan If you live in Toronto (or another region deemed to be a Delta variant hotspot region by the province) you're eligible to book on the provincial site as of Monday at 8:00 (probably a bit before). You may want to check out some pharmacies too before that. Good luck.
@ontarioforward@VaxHuntersCan It is likely. I would call the particular pharmacies you’re thinking of just to double check since I believe pharmacies can determine their own eligibility criteria. Most seem to be following provincial guidelines generally though.
@QueenOfHaram_ @VaxHuntersCan The way that the province is deciding eligibility is a little different for second doses. We really just started the second dose campaign, so while only those living in the hotspot zones are eligible now, I’m sure they will expand it soon.
@jmm_57@VaxHuntersCan I believe you should be able to. Every pharmacy will have their own eligibility but most seem to be following the provincial guidelines and will allow people from out of area to book appointments so long as they are provincially eligible. Maybe call and ask first, just to be sure
@cseesit@VaxHuntersCan I read that WDG has announced the local booking system will allow those eligible as of Monday to book on Monday morning. Going to pharmacies may take more work but you may also be able to secure a quicker appointment that way. Good luck.
@suyawang@VaxHuntersCan@chandan_93 No indication yet that the date will roll. The eligibility guidelines change quickly and without much notice so when they do and you’re eligible, it will be announced.
