I've only just become aware of this method, and it's definitely mathematically sound. The boring question is: will students be awarded marks at GCSE for the arcs drawn using this method? Any ideas much appreciated... @mathsjem @Whitehughes @mrbartonmaths @Just_Maths

I have a question about constructing angle bisectors. The classic taught method is an arc from the point where the two lines meet; then arcs of the same length from the two intersection points.
HOWEVER, there also seems to be another way: draw 2 arcs of different lengths...

So I started in 2006. First salary was about £24k & first flat was £180k for which we had deposit help. They now go for £375k and teaching start is £34k. I had student loans of about £10k. Now it would be £60k.

Both the teacher unions and doctors need to point out what schools and hospitals were like in 2010 when pay was higher. Just saying “we used to be well-paid” is an eye roll for the public. (Didn’t we all!) But pointing to what it meant for the actual service would help.
