@scott_tanfield @1966MJG Mike, you gotta get over the fact #FFC was a means to an end for Silva. It's well known he wanted the Spurs job and WHU Claret and Booze are adamant he was up for their job. If he makes a deep European run it'll put him on the radar of top 6 clubs in the Prem which is his goal.

Amazing the number if people who think Silva is leaving because of the broken promises from the board. Is it possible he always planned to leave once he had served his time and showed he could stick around in difficult circumstances thus repairing his reputation?

@Fulhamtilidie He's a mouthpiece. There was tension between AM and Silva. Silva had a big fan in SK which is why everyone was muted when Silva longed it out at the end.

Can't help but feel #FulhamFC appointing Silva was more luck than judgement (see Megath, Rangers, Parker) but it worked out well for both sides. Silva stabilised #FFC in the Prem, #FFC gave Silva a chance to rehab his reputation but the end reflected badly on both. Thanks Marco.

@ColBennettH4 @CravenTheHunter @MrSammyJames To even pretend Benfica is a downgrade on Fulham is nonsense. If he wins something there, makes a deep run in Europe it'll put him on the radar of bigger clubs especially in the Premier League which is where he wants to manage, albeit only at a top 6 club. The move fits his plan.
