I understand the immediate anger about wanting to blow it all up. Fire everyone etc.
But can we take a moment and look at the facts:
This team lost 1 freaking time in all of 2025.
This team led the NHL wire to the wire for the first time in god knows how long.
This team had the most standings points in their 30 years history.
This team gave up the fewest goals and scored the most.
This team swept the first round and took out one of the top teams in the league and a bitter rival in 5 games.
Should what happened in the span of 8 days invalidate what this team did in 8 months?
With no Makar? And a very injured Mackinnon?
I don't get the window closing talk. Did the majority of this team have a rough series. YUP. Did many have a rough playoff. YUP.
But that shit happens. The playoffs are a lot of luck. They are very unpredictable. You gotta get your way through the regular season gauntlet before you can even start trying to get through.
Don't get me wrong this ending is unacceptable. But I just refuse to let these last 8 days invalidate what the last 8 months of Avalanche hockey felt like.
8 days ago this was the most fun season of Avs hockey I've seen in 30 years.
And next year?
We get a full year of Naz back. We will be featured in the biggest NHL premier game for the first time ever. We are getting TWO brand New Jerseys that I cannot wait to buy. And there's nothing I've seen that shows me they can't have a ton of success next year again.
Crazy how quick things flopped but it happens.
Bottom line I hope Sakic and Co and Avs Faithful take a step back and really look at the bigger picture here.
@mark_hamil5@Avalanche See. This is what we don't need, more negative comments.
Remember, the last three seasons before this, we lost first round. This time, we made it to the third round
@Happytapdancer Very very well said. We are gonna have a bad game time to time. The Wild looked much more collected then the first two games. Let's pick ourselves up, learn, and play better on Monday :)
@starfoxgamer62@undyingnephalim Hey there. I work in the OR as a scrub tech. The OR is scary, but necessary from time to time, and highly trained people will be monitoring him the whole time.
Shoot me a DM if you have any questions :)
@sig_serg All of my cars have been Manual. Far less stuff to go wrong, much better connection to the car, better car control. Satisfying driving experience.
Modern automatics won't even let you check the fluid level with out a computer, and proprietary dealer only measuring stick device.
