A Kanwar pilgrim allegedly threatened a police inspector during an argument in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar ahead of the annual Kanwar Yatra.

According to reports, a group of Kanwariyas had climbed onto a DJ vehicle when Inspector Brijesh Sharma asked them to get down, citing safety and law-and-order concerns. The request reportedly led to a heated argument.

During the altercation, one of the pilgrims was heard allegedly telling the officer, "If you're so proud of your uniform, just say it. I'll have it taken off you in five minutes." The purported threat has since circulated widely on social media.

The Kanwar Yatra is scheduled to begin across western Uttar Pradesh, with authorities deploying extensive security arrangements and traffic management measures to ensure the peaceful conduct of the pilgrimage.

Further details regarding the incident and any police action are awaited.
