@BirnoOCE Havoc never needed a nerf. It only became good because the guns around it got nerfed to the point where it was an outlier. A better way to balance is to have the other guns reach the level of the Havoc.
@ProudBavaria PDX have really lost a lot of UI quality lately. The older games had initially complex UI but after a while they were quick and efficient. These new games just have outright bad UI - I noticed it first with CK3, but VIC3 and EU5 are really bad for it.
@Zogvquit@RazorwireRPG Tbf Morrowind also has a large section of the game explaining that others before you have also been “chosen” and still failed. The whole prophecy is realised because of the Nerevarine’s own talent to embody it - not the other way around.
@RealJohnShepSR1 I’ve always thought Witcher 3 plays better with a self-imposed no Quen rule, I’d recommend you give a run like that a try, it makes what is unfortunately by default a pretty bland combat system a lot more fun.
@JanPogman2 Vicky 2 was a cult classic because it was unique in the depth of the simulation it provided - it worked and was very good at it. But even Vic2 understood it was a game, beholden to game mechanics. EU5 has great potential I agree, but to support it now is to bury your head in sand
@JanPogman2 I’m very doubtful anyone making this point ever played any OG Paradox game, they were very gamey. I don’t think a new crowd should come in from the success won by those games, and demand simulation that simply isn’t working under the guise that PDX games have always been sims.
@ProudBavaria I agree that EU4 mission trees often went too far, but what are your opinions on the Imperator system. I found them a lot more dynamic, and they often made sense. Example being if you put a lot of focus into developing agriculture, you get pop gain boosts in a single province etc
@lazy_sorcerer@Lambert2191 In my opinion the biggest issue with all Paradox games has been the increasingly worse AI through the years. In EU5, the control system had fantastic potential to moderate AI expansion to be realistic - instead they just don’t expand, which is more egregious than long battles imo
@lazy_sorcerer@Lambert2191 It’s absolutely not a perfect solution in my mind, but it enables some suspension of disbelief. I see it the same way I see late game army sizes of late-game EU4, where you can have casualties reaching a WW1 level by the early 1700’s.
@lazy_sorcerer@Lambert2191 I always just imagined EU4 battles to include every aspect of combat in a region as large as the provinces they are in, local raids and skirmishing, actually scouting the enemy, etc.
@semperrcognita@Nokokopuffs Finally, I’ve seen a number of people talking about how people who play with squads are being ‘carried’ to the higher ranks. I think this is unfair - once again, Apex is a team game, team play is a skill that has to be learned, even the worst player on the team can help the whole
@semperrcognita@Nokokopuffs In my opinion, if limiting queues were to happen (I don’t think it should happen either way), a more logical solution would be to make it trio queue ONLY at the higher ranks. This would ensure the best possible lobbies and the most skilled plays.
@semperrcognita@Nokokopuffs Nobody who is good enough at the game to have to worry about this change would ever willingly play pubs. I know this change would make me quit the game rather than play pubs, and Apex is one of my most loved and played games - this change would kill it for me.
@Skalonyde At Diamond and above Solo’s should not be allowed to queue, a solo player will always play worse than a squad player and as such diminish the competitiveness of ranked play at a high level. People should not be punished for having good teamplay in a team game.

@HYPERMYSTx Horrible idea designed to coddle people without friends to play with to the detriment of competitiveness. Pre-made squads play the game better than solos, the solos can either find good teammates and queue with them or accept their limitations and attempt to succeed regardless.
