Hill-Lewis doesn’t need to travel to Joburg to see black mold, failing infrastructure, dilapidated apartment blocks.
His @Our_DA government owns and mismanages 65000 apartments across Cape Town.
He should visit & take care of his own backyard & the people who live there!
Hill-Lewis, @Our_DA Leader & Mayor of @CityofCT, has some explaining to do.
1. The Church that bid highest for the Good Hope Centre disputes Hill-Lewis’s claims that they haven’t met the funding criteria;
2. A political office bearer is not supposed to be involved in these tender processes.
How was Hill-Lewis in a position to make a statement on the bid adjudication that is not complete?
Was he honest on @radio786online when he said the Church didn’t have the funds & so they’re looking at the 2nd highest bidder? If that was the case how & why did the Bid Adjudication Committee inform him, a politician, before raising it with the church?
Time for Hill-Lewis to come clean about a deal that’s looking shady.
Cancel the sale. It’s just wrong on every level.

It’s not unreasonable to expect that the former leader of the DA, and former Premier, and current leader of the DA, and Mayor of Cape Town, know that the Public Protector investigates complaints.
The finding against Cape Town was as a result of complaints from the affected communities.
Is there a complaint against Joburg that wasn’t investigated or is there no finding because there was no complaint?
@PublicProtector
Your idea of saving is sending 800 million back to Treasury whilst ppl are homeless, flats don’t have stairs. You can’t take action against Tony because says all those companies funded you that got corrupt tenders. I shall account for every cent used during WC in a day or two.
"When you are interfering in supply chain processes in areas where you're not supposed to interfere, that is corruption."
