@themagic_tophat@MaineRoadGhost@Imalwaysright_2@NoodleIsComing If City are exonerated of the most serious charges, some of your posts might be interpreted a libellous, wrongly accusing executives of lying under oath and wilfully committing fraud. But you're 100% confident they will be found guilty, so I doubt that's a concern.
@slbsn To me, common sense dictates that sporting advantage from a PSR breach almost always is conferred to the *following* season. You can almost always balance the books with fire sales by 30th June. The choice not to is to avoid weakening yourself for *next* season.
@themagic_tophat That's a very uncharitable take. Quote from borson: "If Everton accept a sporting advantage was gained in 2021/22 as this para 79 of the decision suggests (but as I say is not 100% clear)".
@themagic_tophat So you're now saying that the para is badly worded / incorrect? All Borson has said is: *taking the para at face value*, Everton are in a tricky position. So really everyone is in agreement and this is a pointless argument.
@themagic_tophat Your point about increased spending is irrelevant because it's not the common ground asserted in the para. It might be a reasonable argument to make, but it's not actually what borson is discussing here.
@themagic_tophat "it is common ground that as a matter of fact breach of PSR conferred a sporting advantage". It is contradictory to accept that 1. The breach gave a sporting advantage *during* the season; but then argue 2. The breach didn't happen until *after* the season.
@slbsn How does the PL determine what a "breach position" is? Do they review a club's sales pipelines and expense projections? If an expected sale (that would achieve break even) falls through on June 29th, you surely weren't in a "breach position" on June 28th even if you did breach.
@zarahsultana Meanwhile you don't seem remotely fussed when Jewish people are attacked on the streets for something happening thousands of miles away...
@slbsn When are we going to start seeing clubs suing each other for diving / time wasting or suing the PL refereeing mistakes. Stefan will soon be sitting alongside Gary Neville discussing the game's legal talking points π
@themagic_tophat This is your beloved FFP/PSR in action, destroying sporting competition since 2009. Upwardly mobile, European trophy winning club like Villa forced to sell their best players probably to Arsenal. For all your outrage at 115, you're silent on the real danger to our game.
@Gugugaga18786@HeidiBachram "muslim world". That's quite a statement... It comes from a *region* that Jews have populated for millenia. It's not exclusively Muslim or Arab food.
