@MartienBall Spending large fees on players does not equal or guarantee success, it’s like the last decade of underperforming has already been forgotten!
Dear Kisumu International Airport Management; the politeness of your staff - from the entrance through to the departure gates - is on another level. Well done! The loo attendant even said: "How are you Madam? And welcome to my office." Which was spotless. Thank you 🙌🏽🤣
£100m in transfer fees. Upwards of £90m (£93.6m) in base salary of £300k per week across six years, not including any kind of bonuses. That is an eye watering, staggering amount of money to pay.
Wage structure matters. Massively overpaying Alexis Sanchez in 2018 meant when David de Gea needed his extension, Jorge Mendes used this figure to justify De Gea's salary which also became an issue for the club.
Take away Tottenham transfer fees for Mateus Fernandes & Sandro Tonali & just consider the salaries. If you pay Fernandes & Tonali the amounts they took to join Spurs, what happens in the dressing room?
How do Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo & Benjamin Sesko respond? Harry Maguire who just took a pay cut or Lisandro Martinez who needs a new contract soon? All that work to fix the wage bill & structure blown up.
The dressing room culture has just been fixed & they're still working to get other bloated salaries out. You can't just have all the mistakes of this past decade only to instantly start making them again now.
@WambuiBMW@ephraimnjegafan@JimiWanjigi Begin by declaring a total war on corruption. Address wasteful spending in government, reduce of the size of our public service, exercise drastic austerity measures. Prioritise growth industry and turbo charge our service sector by reducing over regulation and a lot of red tape
@BoardLotSultan Thanks for sharing this, following keenly….
Do the prices they are offering make business sense?
How promptly do they make payments?
Are the prices for live weight or carcass weight?
People at KRA have concluded that the purpose of business is to pay tax. And that there must be a continued war against business because they can't see how making things easier would increase tax collections.
I flew with @KenyaAirways last week, and it was the WORST EXPERIENCE ever.
1. The plane was parked a gate away from where passengers were called to board. A gate away. So why use that gate then? Heaven alone knows.
And get this - we had to walk on the skybridge, outside the airport building, down the flight of stairs into the tarmac and make our trek to the aeroplane to board the plane… OUTSIDE THE AIRPORT BUILDING, AND it was raining.
Yes, raining!
So all the passengers had to WALK IN THE RAIN to board the plane.
And we then had to wait outside for the passengers ahead of us to board. So, the rest of us WAITED IN THE RAIN.
We eventually boarded, drenched!
Absolutely crazy.
2. The staff at the boarding gate were chewing gum, talking amongst themselves, and treating passengers as if they were doing us a favour.
Gum.
Loud laughing.
Rolling eyes and demanding clients.
Kuningi nje.
3. My bag was badly damaged — really badly. While the bag is expensive (no need to get into the cost or the brand), they say I should have the bag delivered to them so they can take it to “their assessor” to decide whether to replace or repair it.
By the way, the bag is so badly damaged that it can't be fixed.
I fly… A lot.
I have already boarded over 40 flights this year. Last year, I travelled to over 20 countries.
I live in airports & airlines.
I regularly have unpleasant experiences on commercial flights.
I am not a sissy. I don’t complain. You take the good with the bad.
But I can tell you this for free: this KQ experience was horrendous.
It would have been more pleasant to pour Tabasco sauce into my naked eye & then blindly stir into a lunar eclipse.
Anyway, back to your regular scheduled program.
