I am sure @ronanofficial speaks for many: “you can kill a man .. & walk free .. & we wonder why we keep seeing this kind of behaviour on our roads .. why people are dying” on our roads. I am so sorry & thank you speaking out! #StopRoadDeath https://t.co/NO1lYAYMIA
"Toxic, socially unacceptable, preventable and illegal" - RoadPeace CEO Howard Jones responding to news that half of UK police forces have caught motorists driving at more than 90mph on 30mph roads, as shown by data revealed by a RAC freedom of information request.
We welcome news of a significant step in changing the language used to describe road collisions.
Police forces across the UK can now replace ‘Police Accident’ signs with ‘Police Collision’ signs, following approval from the Department for Transport.

This year we supported more than 2k road victims. Sadly, we anticipate many more will come in throughout the Christmas period.
We rely on donations to help us deliver our specialist emotional and practical support. Please give £10 https://t.co/9tcPEoUGh5
Thank you ❤️
Today, we observe the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.
This is a meaningful day to honour those who have lost their lives or been severely injured in road crashes.

@MartinSLewis I remember they did it in the sixties, going to school in the dark wasn't good. If memory serves me well that was one the reasons they reverted back.
Almost 4,000 people are killed and many hundreds of thousands are injured on roads throughout the world every day. Many more have to cope with bereavement or the effects of injury.
This year's World Day of Remembrance is on Sunday, November 17. #WDoR2024
