@Jshiz93 @halletecco Their model is fairly simple. Position as tech company. Charge a monthly fee. Outsource the clinician, outsource the pharmacy fulfillment. Raise capital, spend it on advertising, increase valuation and exit before anyone notices.

@halletecco @idancohen I agree. They have structured deals with physicians as independent contractors, but obviously the whole premise of employment is to prescribe these medications. Definitely conflict of interest.

@halletecco This is a huge problem. How do you prescribe medication without having a real conversation with a patient. These companies have patients fill out questionnaires, a provider reviews and then sends a prescription to a pharmacy which mails it out. Regulation is definitely needed.

@halletecco It doesn’t end well...overinflated valuations. It will be interesting to see what happens if new entrants in the space begin charging $5 instead of $30/month. Can these pill mills actually survive pricing competition and maintain their valuations?

@chrissyfarr @Farzad_MD It is amazing how VC's back ideas but don't realize how important health care experience and knowledge is in an industry that is highly regulated.
