After laborious work of putting together Alternative Policy Statements, this afternoon we tabled these documents for consideration.
For each ministry docket, we have indicated what we believe are the priority areas that should be focused on for funding, and the general direction we feel the Country ought to take in the various sectors.
We donโt just criticize, we offer credible alternatives for our Country!
Many thanks to my colleagues on the Shadow Cabinet and our technical team for burning the midnight oil.

Uganda's Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has deleted earlier posts he made on X, accusing the @USAmbUganda administration in Kampala of aiding Bobi Wine's escape.
Gen @mkainerugaba, who is also President @KagutaMuseveni's son and a Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations, said he "was being fed with wrong information. I have spoken with the US Ambassador to our country and everything is okay. We are going to continue our military cooperation as usual."

After dictator Museveni murdering, silencing opponents and rigging election for 40 years in power this is kind of humiliation and impunity Ugandans are facing on expense of our victory๐ก

"Without more teeth and follow-through by international actors, Africans are doomed to be treated as third-class citizens by the ruling elites and their supporters.
As the military clamps down on ordinary Ugandans desperate for a political voice, and a choice for change, you have been warned of the bloody consequences. Silence translates into complicity in the vote rigging and brutalisation of opposition on the continent, as it did with the Tanzania elections.
Such silence only entrenches and fuels dictatorships and the decline in democracy." - H.E. Ian Khama, former President of Botswana.
Thank you very much, President Khama, for not choosing silence at this profound moment in history.

Even at the polling station where Museveni voted from, the number of people who 'apparently voted' from there exceeds the number of registered voters! Here is an Electoral Commission official stating that Museveni obtained 589 votes here and that 5 votes were invalid. When in fact, the total number of registered voters at that polling station is 577. This points to one thing - massive ballot stuffing. Not even half of the 577 voters could have turned up to vote, but the criminals added an excess of 17 votes. This is what happened in every district of Uganda. The apex of impunity! WE MUST RECLAIM OUR COUNTRY!

The home of NUP presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi is under siege, according to NUP officials. The party's treasurer, Benjamin Katana, has also criticised the EC for announcing results without specifying their polling stations.
