Here's something that doesn't get talked about enough - there's a version of productivity that doesn't actually serve you. It feels like ambition or discipline, but underneath it is something different and toxic.
Toxic productivity is when rest starts feeling like failure. When you can't sit through a meal without listening to a podcast. When a slow Sunday morning triggers guilt instead of peace.
Unfortunately, our culture often rewards this behavior. We celebrate the people who are always grinding, always hustling. It is just unsustainable.
Most of you are actually introspecting right now, and that's good. Here are some signs worth noticing:
- tying self-worth entirely to some output
- feeling anxious when not being 'useful' or 'productive'
- forgetting what you do for fun
- physically being unable to relax without feeling like you should be doing something else
'Doing nothing' is not the fix for it. It is all about recognizing that you are a human, not a machine. It is about doing things that matter. It is about prioritising things that matter. Fun fact: what matters to you can change over time.
Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is stop.
Doors and wheels fall off airplanes. Hundreds of illegal immigrants assault and overrun border guards in Texas. We can’t even muster support for our allies in the security council. But at least our pronouns are in order.
Published another blog.
This time it's about AWS VPC. Includes reasons why we need one along with a few components.
At the end, I also mention how to securely connect to an instance in a private subnet using a Bastion Host.

My new blog about docker networking is out!🐋🛜
The blog explains the need for having a dedicated network instead of relying on the default network, along with explanations about the different network drivers.
Give it a read and let me know what you think!
