Successful installation of the Second Advanced Radiotherapy Machine (HELA) at AIIMS Nagpur

Considering the increasing burden of cancer patients and the need of the hour, AIIMS Nagpur has successfully installed a second advanced radiotherapy machine (HELA -High Energy Linear Accelerator), marking a significant milestone in healthcare technology. This will be the first and only Surface Guided Radiotherapy (SGRT) facility in Central India.

The equipment was received through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) grants from ONGC to address the increasing workload. With adequate clinical and technical human resources in place, the machine will be ready for treatment soon. This will significantly reduce the waiting time for patients requiring radiotherapy and will also strengthen teaching and learning for Radiation Oncology students in the Nagpur region.

This achievement was made possible under the visionary leadership of Dr. @Prashant_PJoshi (Executive Director & CEO), Dr. Rasika Gadkari (Dean Academics), Dr. Nilesh Nagdeve (Medical Superintendent), Mr. Vijay Kumar Nayak (Deputy Director, Administration), Dr. Chaitali Waghmare, and the dedicated Radiation Oncology team of AIIMS Nagpur.

The installation was executed by Asia’s first all-women engineering team, underscoring the strength of women-led innovation in healthcare technology. The team was led by Ms. Revathi Krisha, along with Ms. Prachi.

@Meesho_Official I had a worst experience with this app. Their customer care is useless and don’t even know how to talk. I will make sure to delete this app Immediately and tell my friends and family also to do so. Totally waste of time and energy .
