I worked a job I hated for almost 4 years because I couldn’t get a job in my field. My mental health was the worst it has ever been. I was at an all-time low, and I couldn't get out of that headspace. I felt like a failure.
I interviewed for a job in my field back in May. Just that interview changed my perspective. Everything started shifting. My mental health got better. I started caring about my future again. I got a call in July, and I got the job! I became excited to get out of bed. I’m back at the gym. I’m working towards getting my body back. I’ve lost 10lbs so far. I feel like myself again after all of these years.
I’m happy.
It gets better. It will just take time

@amerix We deserve every consequence dose of their agenda because we are the very same people who peddle and sell cheap politics and elect these criminals.
Metformin consistently blunts the adaptations that make exercise protective - i.e., VO₂max, mitochondrial remodeling, hypertrophy, and now vascular insulin sensitivity and glucose control.
Metformin users saw no improvement in aerobic fitness despite 16 weeks of structured exercise (PMID: 41160096).
However, A 2020 human biopsy study (PMID: 33071237) showed it shrinks the normal training response by hundreds of genes, reducing muscle remodeling, hypertrophy, and mitochondrial pathways while activating senescence and autophagy circuits. Those shifts change what the muscle prioritizes: repair/maintenance instead of progression.
