The salary wasn't advertised so I bet applicants had no idea.
The recruitment process is also hectic. All for a salary below 100k.
Some of the applicants would even be earning significantly more but don't know.

I was about to tweet this; reflecting on a tech company looking to hire a lawyer for a salary I can't even mention. So many applicants, they had to stop receiving applications.

Fine workplace isn't always equivalent to fine pay. Know the pay structure beforehand so that your only career incentive wouldn't be frustration in a glass house.

Something I find utterly ridiculous about Lagos state is how poor salaries are.
A Lagos state staff - in education - would retire and not be paid a penny for an average of three years- no pension, no gratuity.
You'd think when they finally pay, the money would be
