@DriverReference@CarsonHocevar@SpireMotorsport Great point. Carson is 22nd in points in his first year racing and with spire. Only 5 points behind john hunter for rookie of the year. Corey Lajoy who just keeps stacking pennies at spire and has for a few years now is 30th. Carson is outperforming the equipment.
@PPistone It appears in todays world yes you could probably get the ticket erased. They are doing this very thing for a lot of changing rules and laws. Things like overturning drug convictions as those drugs now become legal. New way of the world I guess.
@tigerglide@DaleJr@jeff_gluck @1HunchoChris Indycar was the blueprint for spec. Dalara builds every tub and has for over 10 years. And they use spec engines with badges on them. Yet Indycar finishes are more compelling every week than f1.
@DaleJr@dalejr Did everone forget they brought those wet weather tires with. Mount them up lets run them and that might lay some rubber on the track as well.
@King_Sabastian5@jeff_gluck Indy they had more tires at least. This one they are screwed as they don’t have tires for 500 laps. Tire shortened race maybe?
@A_S12@TheAthletic I feel like this was a decision based on time away from family. Committing to 10 weeks each year is a lot less the the 22 or so NBC is going to have.
@PPistone The timing of this seems to scream ESPN pulled out. I am sure they had a cancel clause and this close to a new season no chance to find a new partner. ESPN gotta pay everyone’s favorite tv troll somehow.
@bobpockrass They announced and sold tickets for this year. Gotta think they got the rug pulled out by ESPN. Probably didn’t meet ratings metric for 2023 and ESPN saw some cost savings by just cutting it.
@ElijahWhosoever Fun fact. The walls didn’t damage the car so every lap was just hail melon over and over. Always got looks from the guy handing out the lap time print outs at the end.
