Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest → Man City, £116m) - Fee too high; United refused to match it and enter a bidding war.

Mateus Fernandes (West Ham → Tottenham, £85m) – High fixed fee and wages; United wouldn’t fully match Spurs’ offer.

Sandro Tonali (Newcastle → Tottenham, £100m) – High fee; United did not pursue aggressively.

Aurélien Tchouaméni (Real Madrid) – Real did not want to sell; he signed a new deal. High fee and wages.

Lewis Hall (Newcastle, left-back) – Newcastle refused to sell (high valuation around £60m) despite United interest and the player being open to a move.
