The Ottoman Turks persecuted both Jews in the Holy Land and the Christians in Mount Lebanon. Jews in the Ottoman Empire were dhimmis (second-class subjects of the empire), who were heavily taxed and systematically discriminated against.

As for Christians in Lebanon, Ottomans targeted them through a brutal campaign called kafno (famine). The Ottoman authorities, under Jamal Pasha and the Young Turk regime, imposed and enforced policies that killed around 200,000 to 300,000 Christians between 1915 and 1918. 🚨 Turkey’s “Denial” Just Proved the Point

Turkey just officially denied that its aircraft harassed the planes carrying EU Defence Ministers (including Greece’s Nikos Dendias) to Cyprus for the informal Defence Council meeting.

But read their statement carefully:
Their denial actually confirms everything.

Turkey does not accept Cyprus’s airspace or sovereignty. It considers Republic of Cyprus “expired” after the invasion/occupation of the northern part

It openly claims the right to violate and usurp the Cyprus Flight Information Region — treating the illegal “TRNC” as its puppet protectorate and using its army to “defend” non-existent “rights.”

This is not a one-off.

It’s a continuous provocation and a direct challenge to EU airspace and the security of European citizens in Cyprus.

Yet… silence ,no European outrage ….
No emergency statements. No sanctions.

It is not happening over the Baltics !

Because it’s not the Russians threatening Europeans.
