i still can't quite wrap my head around the hate that dark souls 2 gets. i've never seen any game get the same sort of insults, not at just the game, but the fans of it themselves too. calling them stupid, retarded, etc. I proudly adore it. It's different. It's weird. It's not perfect. I've talked about the flaws I find with it. My most played is DS1 with 2500+ hours and it's kinda wild how DS1 is incredibly flawed too imo (even Miyazaki himself has talked about this) and yet, only DS2 gets the level of hate for the flaws it has. They all have flaws, they're works of art, but I just don't get it. Glad to see DS2 get its flowers these last few years. So many new people discovering it and loving it!
