The conversations taking place here reaffirm that protecting our oceans is not only an environmental imperative but also an economic opportunity that requires collaboration across governments, investors, scientists, and civil society.

One interesting panel (Shipping at the Crossroads) at BEFF 2026 placed the maritime sector at the heart of discussions, highlighting its role as a key pillar of tomorrow's ocean economy.
Moderated by Johanna Christensen (GlobalMaritimeForum), and bringing together Guillaume Branco (Eurazeo), James Marshall (Berge Bulk) and Morten Lerø (DNV), the session explored the investments needed to support the maritime sector's transition across fleets, fuels and infrastructure.

@NASA announced today that it has selected the US-based company Venturi @Astrolab_Space, Inc. as one of two providers of a crewed lunar rover for the Artemis campaign, advancing the agency’s plans to establish sustained surface mobility at the lunar South Pole.

The new vehicle, known as the Crewed Lunar Vehicle, or CLV-1, will rely on critical technologies designed and manufactured by Venturi Space.

@Venturi_Space, strategic partner of Astrolab, is supplying CLV-1 with three critical subsystems that underpin its mobility, energy endurance and operational reliability.

This week @paramountpics, @embmonacowdc and @motionpictures hosted a private screening of 'To Catch A Thief' (1955) starring Grace Kelly and Cary Grant and directed by Alfred Hitchcock. It was filmed in and around the Principality of Monaco and the south of France...

The screening honored the cinematic legacy of Philadelphia-born actress and cultural icon, Grace Kelly, and celebrated the enduring ties between Monaco and the USA which flourished after she married HSH Prince Rainier in April 1956 and became Princess Grace of Monaco.

Special guests included members of the US-based Kelly family, DC-based ambassadors and Monaco's honorary consuls from San Francisco, Miami, and Seattle. MPA Chair and CEO Charlie Rivkin welcome the audience and René Augustine, SVP, Global Government Policy at Paramount and Ambassador Maguy Maccario Doyle delivered opening remarks.

In this year of major milestones including the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Monaco and the USA, America's semiquincentennial,

🎉 Monaco has officially joined America’s semiquincentennial festivities! 🥳

This week, with America250 Chair Rosie Rios, Ambassador Maguy Maccario Doyle signed a Memorandum of Understanding to reinforce the deep ties, shared history, and common values between us.

The VIP reception which followed included guests who witnessed the signing and who represented US businesses, government, institutions, and foundations who have collaborated with the Embassy of Monaco in Washington, D.C.

It is especially meaningful as this year we celebrate the 20th anniversary since establishing full diplomatic relations with the USA. Cheers! 🇲🇨❤️🇺🇸

April 19, 1956 - 70 years ago in Monaco’s Cathedral - Prince Rainier and Princess Grace’s religious marriage ceremony, following their civil service the day before, was seen by more than 30 million viewers on one of the world’s first major TV events broadcast via Eurovision.

Billed as the wedding of the century, it set the standard for spectacular and memorable royal weddings, even to this day…

This weekend we fondly remember the 70th anniversary of the ‘wedding of the century’ held on April 18 & 19, 1956 between HSH Prince Rainier and Philadelphia-born actress and cultural icon, Grace Kelly.
Their civil ceremony was held in the Throne Room of the palace of Monaco.
While the spectacular religious ceremony was yet to come the following day, legendary Hollywood costume designer, Helen Rose, created Grace Kelly’s pink floral ensemble for the civil service (pictured) which was accessorized with a Juliet cap.

Le Département des Relations Extérieures et de la Coopération a organisé, les 8 et 9 avril 2026, la conférence annuelle des chefs de poste du corps diplomatique de la Principauté.
Mme Isabelle BERRO-AMADEÏ, Conseiller de Gouvernement-Ministre des Relations Extérieures et de la Coopération, a ouvert les travaux en rappelant l’importance de ces temps d’échange sur les priorités de la politique extérieure de la Principauté, dans un contexte international marqué par de
fortes tensions et de profondes incertitudes.
Alors que la Principauté s’apprête à assumer la Présidence du Conseil de l’Europe, cette édition a été marquée par une intervention du Secrétaire Général de l’Organisation, M. Alain Berset, qui est revenu sur cet environnement géopolitique tourmenté ainsi que sur le rôle du Conseil de l’Europe
dans ce contexte.

Au cours de ces deux journées d’échanges, plusieurs sujets d’actualité ont également été abordés, parmi lesquels :
• La protection des institutions publiques, dans le cadre d’une session de sensibilisation animée par des représentants de la Direction générale de la sécurité intérieure française, en collaboration avec le Département de l’Intérieur ;
• La stratégie d’attractivité de la Principauté, présentée par Mme Ludmilla RACONNAT LE
GOFF, Délégué en charge de l’Attractivité auprès du Ministre d’Etat ;
• La réorganisation du Monaco Economic Board - qui se recentre sur son rôle de chambre de commerce - exposée par M. Guillaume ROSE, Directeur Général exécutif ;
• Les efforts déployés par les services de l’Etat pour lutter contre le blanchiment de capitaux et le financement du terrorisme, détaillés par M. Frédéric CHARTIER, Coordinateur exécutif du Secrétariat Permanent du Comité de coordination et de suivi de la stratégie nationale LBC-FT.

Pope Leo XIV was welcomed in Monaco today on his first European trip since being elected pontiff last year. His trip comes 488 years after last papal visit by Pope Paul III in 1538.
His Holiness travelled from the Vatican by helicopter for the one-day trip and was welcomed by Their Serene Highnesses the Prince and Princess of Monaco before visiting the palace and Monaco’s cathedral.
An highlight of his historic visit was the pontifical Mass in the Stade Louis-II where 15,000 faithful gathered, including members the Princely Family.

I was pleased to join colleagues from across the Francophone community for an exchange marked by the presence of H.E. Louise Mushikiwabo, Secretary-General of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (#OIF), following welcoming remarks by H.E. André François Giroux Wiseman, Ambassador of #Canada, and under the chairmanship of H.E. Sidibé Fatoumata Kaba, Ambassador of Guinea and President of the Group.
The discussion highlighted several key priorities for the Francophonie, including the promotion of the French language, support for stronger francophone representation in multilateral institutions, the fight against disinformation, and the place of French-language content in the digital sphere.
At a time of growing international uncertainty, such exchanges are an important reminder of the value of dialogue, solidarity, and cooperation across the Francophone world. We welcome this week’s celebration - on March 20 - of International Francophonie Day, to honor the French language, cultural diversity, and solidarity among over 369 million speakers across five continents.
