EXCLUSIVE | “We will challenge them legally and deal with them, but if they want to come physically, we will meet them on the field.”
KZN police commissioner Lt-Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi has exposed a plot to silence him over his investigations into the activities of certain individuals in the national office.
He has now categorically stated that the “smear campaign” against him originates within the organisation.
But Mkhwanazi insists he and his team are not backing down, and their work will soon reveal the rogue elements hiding out at the SAPS HQ.
In an interview with @eNCA, the veteran policeman says this isn’t the first time he’s been targeted for exposing criminals within the SAPS.
Mkhwanazi has given an assurance that the level of policing in KZN won’t be affected by this.
More on #DStv403.
In a sudden and dramatic about-turn, the Independent Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) has not executed warrants of arrest against two senior SAPS Crime Intelligence officers.
The reasons for the apparent delay remain unclear, raising serious questions about what may have changed behind the scenes.
The development comes amid heightened scrutiny of Crime Intelligence and ongoing investigations into allegations of corruption, abuse of power and criminality within sections of law enforcement.
The decision not to proceed with the arrests at this stage is likely to fuel speculation and calls for transparency.
Authorities are yet to provide a full explanation.
Lt.Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi also reported to the Brooklyn Police Station in Pretoria after he was told to present himself.
An annoyed Mkhwanazi says the “war is on.”
Asked about possible turf wars, he said: “yes…”
[WATCH] SAPS Lt.Gen. Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi says intelligence received suggests there are efforts to have him and Dumisani Khumalo “behind bars” within 48 hours. He says this stems from claims that they secured arrest warrants for IDAC officials. #Newzroom405

The Scripted Testimony and the Blue Flame 🚨
Let’s be honest for a second. There is nothing more uncomfortable than watching someone tank on the stand because they tried to copy someone else’s homework.
This witness walked right into the courtroom today and repeated the exact narrative of his senior, General Jacob. The script was mirrored so perfectly that they even managed to repeat the same identical mistakes! 😂🤦🏽♂️ But human pressure does interesting things to a rehearsed story; the moment the cross-examination actually started, his timeline began shifting and changing with every single question.
The Female Ganda-Ganda Turned Up the Heat 💥Let’s give credit where it’s due:
the Female Ganda-Ganda was absolutely relentless. She didn’t come to play games; she came to hold people accountable.
●She intercepted his testimony right from the morning session.
● Escalated everything as she steadily increased the strategic pressure line by line.
● Soon after the breaking point Mama Sesla was cooking with pure gas today. The moment that flame turned blue, you knew the temperature was too high.
It became painfully obvious that Mjekejeke had left this poor guy to take the fall. When a fire burns that hot, no amount of spinning or damage control is going to blow out the flames 🔥.
Yet, amidst the chaos, human nature broke through. Under that intense weight, a critical piece of truth slipped out—whether it was an accidental leak or just exhaustion from the hot seat.He admitted to the commission that after he and Mjekejeke wrapped up at the scene, they handed the keys directly over to General Senonzozo.
This shifts the entire weight of the accountability scale. Senonzozo’s problems aren’t just growing; they are piling up to a dangerous level. If your legal representation is already down with an illness, you are running out of traditional exit strategies. Next week, he has to face a fortified, three-dimensional wall of Jerusalem, and right now, he doesn't even have an excavator. Iyooh! #MadlangaCommission #ProtectGeneralMkhwanazi
Someone once told me that Madlanga is very much dangerous and savagious, it was hard for me to believe him since he usually keeps quiet in the commission, but hey only to find😳😳

That is not how mootness operates in constitutional litigation. A matter is moot when a court order will have no practical legal effect. But the Ngcobo Panel Report continued to exist, continued to inform the constitutional record, and remained capable of producing legal consequences under Rule 129 and section 89.
The Constitutional Court did not create new legality in 2026; it merely declared Parliament’s earlier termination of the process irrational and unconstitutional. Under both PAJA principles and legality review jurisprudence, delay is assessed from when the impugned decision and its consequences were reasonably knowable ,not from when political circumstances later revived enforcement.

💣🚨 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has just finished one of the most UNFORGETTABLE press conferences in football history.
• He’s ‘sorry that he won’t resign,’ instead calling for an election 3 years early and threatening other candidates to run against him ‘if they can'
• The first questions are sporting-related, but immediately he says that he will not be talking about sporting matters
• Insists that Real Madrid is not a dictatorship, that he has been the best president of all time, winning 74 titles, and that the only way they will get him out is if ‘they shoot him’
• Claims that Real Madrid players ‘fight every season,’ and that it’s totally normal. At least 4 or 5 players hit each other per year. Defends both Tchouameni and Valverde as ‘good kids’
• Picks out his phone from his pocket to start reading news and laughing at fake news from multiple outlets, mainly ABC
• Singles out an ABC journalist as ‘a woman who doesn’t even know if she knows about football’
• Saying he’s a supernatural animal, a beast that works day and night, denying rumors of cancer and tiredness
• Attacks Barcelona for the Negreira case, saying it’s the most disgraceful scandal in football history, and that they have prepared a document to send to UEFA to report Barcelona
• Confirms Real Madrid have the most valuable squad in the world according to Transfermarkt
• Starts arguing with journalists in front of him during the press conference, threatening to cancel his subscriptions to the media
• Calls himself a construction mogul, claiming his companies generate billions of euros in revenue worldwide
• Claims he called the presser to defend Real Madrid from the robberies, saying he would have at least 7 more league titles if they ‘weren’t robbed from him’
• Urged the fans and members of the club to support the players, not boo them
• Says good night, and leaves the room saying he hopes to never see the journalists again
MADLANGA COMMISSION | Col Francois Steyn says Gen Kadwa was standing next to his vehicle when he arrived at the scene. He says the only request made to him was to submit the initial or preliminary report to him as soon as possible.
Colonel Prinsloo analyzed a 10-111 radio transcript from the Aeroton incident. At 11:23, Bravo Setter 12 reported that the truck was not hijacked but was being escorted by police, suspected drugs were found inside, and the driver would be arrested. Prinsloo noted the driver was not actually arrested, but should have been questioned. He explained that a radio controller requested a report back because "supervisors are on their neck" needing to close the complaint. Scania security also called a highway patrol vehicle conducting a nearby roadblock, further complicating the scene. #MadlangaCommission
