@Lissa_Worthy This is crazy. Children should be in no way financially responsible for lunch debt. Paying for food is the responsibility of the car giver, not the child. Children should not be punished because they need to eat. Eating is a basic human right. #SUSocialWork
@chinnalliesusw Too true. Why has the solution become considering bullet proof doors and closets in classrooms rather than mental health support and treatment. Preventative measures are far better than reactive. #SuSocialwork
This is so shameful. Racism is learned and it is still very much happening in America every day. I wonder how many people knew of and supported his plan for this proposal. Glad he was barred from Prom, but skeptical that he will really learn from this. #SUsocialwork
An Ohio student is barred from attending his prom after a sign he used during his "proposal" used racist language. What do you think? https://t.co/Qf8GhZOguf
@Desiree17826232 This happened just 5 miles from my old home I. felt like this incident didn’t get the same coverage as others that have resulted in more deaths. Seems like society is becoming desensitized. #SUSocialWork
@ElizabethSW27 I agree so much with what he said. Everyone really does deserve a home, it’s a shame that so many in America don’t seem to feel that way. #SUSocialWork
I agree the gender pay gap is problem in society, but I don’t feel this small business went about adressing it in an appropriate way. Having a“male tax”whether optional or not only creates another divide. Thoughts? #SUSocialWork. https://t.co/dLgve6MwOi
@Chris10Su Honestly I had not really thought about the resort area close to us when thinking about sexual assault. I definitely hope more people are on the lookout in these areas, and ready to speak out to protect others. #SUSocialWork
@MeganFultonSU This really is a great illustration. I think this is also relevant when people try to minimize or ignore other people’s emotions instead of acknowleding and helping them work through them. #SUSocialWork
I have to agree with this! The way to protect children from school violence is not simply to learn how to react when it happens, but to prevent it from happening all together. School children need mental health support. https://t.co/Xl3XumPuKT
@agleason107 I think showing a true awareness of social injustices is an indication that someone is capable to advocate. He recognizes the need for change, he doesn’t minimize or deny it. #SUSocialWork
@Kklprice@CS_SocialWork 12 weeks is very generous compared to many states. But surely very few people want to put their 12 week old baby in daycare. I knew a girl who went back to work after just weeks. Crazy
This is interesting about cultural appropriation and food service industry. Do you think it’s offensive to sell food of culture different from your own? In what ways did this couple cross the line? #SUSocialWork
@Cwakeman3 I totally agree. People are so worried about being judged or seen as weak. If anything it shows a strength that people are self aware and prepared to do whatever they need to to feel themselves again. #SUSocialWork
@Lissa_Worthy This is a good question, I can only see that there should be restriction on religious apparel if it interferes with the functionality of the uniform, especially in a combat zone. But I can see the argument that it’s a uniform, but there are frequently exceptions made.#susocialwork
I am glad to see that they did not make an exception for this case. Why do people think they have the right to put others at health at risk when they choose not to vaccinate? Shockingly only 18%of the students at this college are vaccinated. #SUSocialWork
@eringil13820067 I too am pro-choice. This bill will not end abortions, it will only increase the the extents women will go to to have them. #SUSocialWork
@MeganFultonSU I absolutely agree. I had friends suffering from mental health problems in high school, and I honestly just tried to ignore it. I was so unaware of what was going on or how to begin to help. In hindsight I feel if I was educated, I could have helped. #SUSocialWork
It’s a shame that some women are still defending the actions of men when it comes to objectifying women. A mans inability to be respectful towards women is not because women are wearing leggings, or any other type of clothing THEY choose. #susocialwork https://t.co/20ifb96qOV
