@yumi8228 People forget that going into a game with prior experience in the earlier title don't have to learn the things they already learned from playing the earlier game.
So parts of the game that they had been stuck on they breeze past in the new game and then consider it easier.
@yumi8228@joe_x0f You can post literally anything and somebody will come out and say "Yea well I beat this with 1 hand behind my back and a blindfold on with no UT's! You have no skills!"
@ulthimas I went through the command training and combo challenge with her. She is pretty fun.
If they can come out with a character that has their own exclusive moveset without other people's moves it could help.
With the release of DOA6LR's latest Patch Ver. 1.09
+ Leifang received a new outfit (Luminous Shadow)
+ New September 2026 DLC Roadmap
+ Minato Releases Sept. 10th
+ Kokoro New Costume Bundle (Week 3)
+ Hitomi New Costume Bundle (Week 4)
+ Bass received a buff
His Back 8T damage increased from 52 → 62, giving the grappler much stronger damage from rare back-turned situations.
+ Honoka received a similar buff
Her Back 8T damage increased from 52 → 58, giving her better reward whenever she successfully gets behind an opponent.
- Honoka also received a MAJOR nerf
Honoka’s 6K2K now causes a sit down knockdown instead of a hard knockdown. This removes one of her most valuable explosive Danger Zone launch routes, since 6K is an i12 mid and one of her fastest juggle extension options.
Her 1P (i18) doesn’t cause a hard knockdown either, leaving her with 3H+K (i20), which is slower and wallsplats making it situational or you can use her 1K (i21) but good luck consistently setting that up against midweights and heavyweights.
The new oki pressure is nice, but this supports my original theory: Team NINJA is reducing Danger Zone interactions and rewards while replacing them with stronger ground game pressure.
Fun Fact:
If there's no danger of wall splatting you can do 4P+K>BT P>BT 2K. - S/O Spector
Summary:
If Honoka wants anything after an explosive, it'd have to be from 1K, 3H+K, BT 2K, and in open space or after breakables like a box or bench etc
- Mai received a HUGE nerf (Much Needed)
Mai’s 6P now causes a holdable midback stagger, removing her infamous guaranteed back turned limbo reset in open space.
Overall, Bass received the strongest buff, in my opinion. Honoka gained extra back throw damage, but losing her 6K2K Danger Zone routes makes her changes more of a tradeoff, despite the new oki pressure. Mai was hit with the biggest nerf through the removal of her guaranteed reset.
Across these patches, Team NINJA appears to be reducing Danger Zone rewards in favor of stronger ground game pressure. DOA6LR is looking promising ahead of Minato’s release, and hopefully more characters receive meaningful adjustments moving forward.
@Dutchonidas It's unfortunate the matches play out the way they do. Especially the HoD part on rooftops. If they could take away Longshot active downs, I don't see why they couldn't at least limit the HoD or take it out of TDM. Nobody wants to late join into that.
@MasterNinjaRyu_ Would people prefer having to deal with the Armadillos instead? Can't even see the screen on this part when fighting them with all the craziness that happens.
@ZakkuRye Something for players to spend coins on would be nice. Players have been sitting on mountains of coins all through DOA6 and now DOA6LR as well.
Could even give tough challenges that cost coins to try(with risk of losing coins on fail) that could lead to something cool to earn.
@yumi8228 It's crazy. People out there are doing their best to survive, pay bills, hold onto friendships and relationships, and so on.
Then you have lonely isolated kids angry and enraged bothering people for enjoying a video game they don't like.
