@imbrettcooper explained why she has largely stopped talking about politics. She pointed to the pure hypocrisy on display from figures like Dan Crenshaw.

In 2021, under Biden, Crenshaw mocked people complaining about high food prices and told them to essentially shut up and adjust. Fast forward to 2026, and the same congressman is telling people angry about a $20 burrito to stop whining, eat ramen, and act like adults — while the underlying problem of runaway costs and money-printing continues unchanged.

Cooper’s conclusion was straightforward: both sides chase political points, both sides print money without restraint, and both sides lecture regular people to accept declining living standards. The performance is the same no matter which party holds power. She said it started making her feel crazy, and she is done participating in the charade.

More voices on the right are reaching the same breaking point. The two-party theater is losing its grip on people who can no longer pretend the sides are meaningfully different.
