@johnarlidge Good article but need dispute just blaming Heathrow’s high fees. It’s the stinging Air Passenger Duty the govt levy that makes EU departures so much cheaper. A flight over 5500 miles to the final destination in business now sees you pay the UK government over £250.
@British_Airways Maybe feed back to someone on the ground that you need more staff tidying up in here really quickly? I would like to think you’ve known how busy the airport would be today for some months. It shouldn’t be a surprise….
@British_Airways 20 minute queue for business class check in at LGW this morning and lounges so badly understaffed that most tables are full of dirty plates. Not the premium experience I expected.
@GWRHelp just a random idea. When your trains are busy, maybe use a bit of joined up thinking to radio ahead and tell the station where the empty seats are before the train gets to the platform, rather than once passengers are already onboard?
@Uber I took a car yesterday. The driver made 5 wrong turns, so 5 min journey took 34 mins. Your automated customer service can’t see a problem with this.
@etihad have you cut your earnings rates? I have a flight coming up with you that was showing 7,000 miles per sector and has now dropped to 5.250 per sector, but can't find any confirmation of this change.
@chilternrailway can you turn the heating off? Front carriage, 7.07 departure from Myb to Birmingham is a sauna. Unhealthy and pretty grim. At least the fares are cheap, yeah?
@chilternrailway I have been commuting on this line for more than 20 years. As a business owner, I can see fares have soared. you need to decide between an opening window (cheap, 3rd world) or aircon. Offering neither is offensive to customers - shareholders have taken plenty in recent years.
@Atreyeu_@chilternrailway What’s it at now? Must be well over 49 in the oven on wheels… getting a vague waft of a breeze as the driver has his window open and it’s displacing some air into car 1 but god forbid your staff get a bit warm. #joke#gbr
@chilternrailway Thank you - but we all know your staff would refuse to work in these conditions and cancel the train so why do you expect your clients to tolerate it? I pointed this out to the driver and station staff before we left London. Reality is they don’t care…
@MrMorton@armchairtweets Whilst I know we aren’t allowed to make investment recommendations, I would actively say get your flu shot. This has been brutal.
For anyone following along, ended up in an Uber from Hays & Harlington and just got to check in as they were closing up. Made it! Thanks for all the positive vibes.
All trains stopped in and out of Paddington. Apparently someone has climbed onto the overhead cables in the station. Currently trying to get to the airport for a flight. @BBCLondonNews@GWRHelp@HeathrowExpress
