Boots doesn’t have to fight like that… He wants to please the crowd. He likes to fight. He has all the tools to fight off the back foot, jab, slip and counter etc. He gives you these moments when he doesn’t have to and it’s “he gets hit to much”
@Kil889 I was the one with turntables making tapes, copping vinyl…the quality of cassettes was low compared to taping from vinyl to tape…you could make it ‘louder’
Nah they didn't have those jawns in the 80's. You HAD to buy the 12" single on vinyl. So for example...most for my friends didn't have turntables so I would have to record from vinyl to cassette for them to listen to jawns and for me to be able to listen in my walkman. I think the bulk of buls in the 80's main weapon of choice was the cassette because 90% of the music we were listening to was us recording off the radio onto cassette. Sheeeeeeeeet I'm about to do an ep of #Apt5B just about the importance of cassettes in the culture!
@Kil889 They wasn’t there. A big part that’s missing is lack of perspective. Looking thru the eyes of today to try and explain what happened yesterday. It’s a TOTALLY different landscape from then. Too many assumptions.
Brudda we still rock with you cause you never wanted to leave Philly. Every time there’s an opportunity for you to come back everyone’s saying ‘bring back CJ.’ We ain’t do nothing to AJ, he just don’t want to be here anymore
But here's the thing...if she didn't want a big party, then yeah I can see that happening. One of the biggest mistakes my wife & I made early on in our marriage was loving the other person the way WE wanted to be loved. So I was doing things for her that I wanted her to do for me
@TonyDaDome I thoroughly enjoyed it when it came out. Very dark, almost plodding album. But an excellent album. Middle of one of the better 3 album runs I’ve seen. Growth from album to album. Not better than IWW. Muddy Waters is more in the convo of a classic than DIAD.
This joint just goes hard. That simple. Catching absolute wreck with the cutting and scratching. Produced by Ibu & Mixed by Jazzy Jay, this was hip hop in its rawest form. Was thrilled when I finally snagged this 12 inch single some years back.

NEW YORK, I need y'all to give 50 Cent the SAME ENERGY you gave J. Cole. We don't want to hear no BS either. He can't duck this smoke from T.I. & you all let him slide. PEACE
Lil Wayne doesn't have a verse that's anything close to Jadakiss' Blackout verse, nothing remotely close to Sheek's 24hrs. to Live verse or Styles on Reservoir Dogs, I can keep going, don't ever compare that bum ass nigga to The Lox, he's not built like that
