🚨BREAKING: On Sunday at around 1:00 a.m., six Jewish Israelis attacked the entrance to the Saint James Monastery in the Armenian Quarter of Jerusalem.

They took turns spitting at the monastery entrance. When they noticed an Armenian woman filming the incident from her home, they threw stones at her window while shouting insults:

“Get back inside, you daughter of a whore!”

Israeli Police were called to the scene and detained the suspects. The Armenian Patriarchate filed a formal complaint. According to official police records, three of the suspects were issued restraining orders barring them from entering Jerusalem’s Old City for 15 days.

BREAKING: Attack on the Saint James Monastery in the Armenian Quarter of Jerusalem

At approximately 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, six Jewish Israeli suspects attacked the entrance to the Saint James Monastery in the Armenian Quarter of Jerusalem’s Old City.

According to eyewitnesses, the group took turns spitting at the entrance of the monastery. When they noticed an Armenian woman filming the incident from her nearby residence, they allegedly threw stones at her window while shouting abusive insults : “Get back inside, you daughter of a wh*re!”

Israeli Police responded after receiving reports of the attack. Officers from the Kishleh Police Station, assisted by the Mabat 2000 surveillance unit, launched an immediate search and located six suspects, five minors and one adult. All six were arrested on suspicion of spitting at the monastery and throwing stones at the site.

Following questioning, three suspects were brought before the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court with a request to extend their detention. The remaining three were released under restrictive conditions. According to official police records, three of the suspects were issued restraining orders prohibiting them from entering Jerusalem’s Old City for 15 days.

The Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem has filed a formal complaint with the authorities. The police investigation remains ongoing, and further updates are expected as additional information becomes available.

In response to the incident, the Armenian Patriarchate issued a public appeal to U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, calling on him to once again condemn acts of hatred directed against Christians in Jerusalem and to urge the Israeli government to recognize such attacks as criminal hate crimes.

The Patriarchate stated:

“Mr. Huckabee, we call on you again to condemn these acts of hate against Christians in Jerusalem. We call on you again to ask the Israeli government to criminalize these acts for what they are. These are hate crimes anywhere in the West. Why aren’t they hate crimes here?”
