NAVA condemns the unauthorized use of any person’s voice, image, name and/or likeness, and stands with actors, studios, and creatives in solidarity against Bytedance’s new AI video generation tool, Seedance 2.0.
Seedance 2.0 provides no protection for individuals and blatantly disregards established copyright law, ethics, industry standards, and basic safeguarding of identifiable biometric data including voice print, movement, and facial features.
Seedance 2.0 disregards creatives both on screen and off, who have worked tirelessly for decades to create film, TV, music, and other media. This directly affects artists’ ability to earn a living, and fundamentally alters the experience fans and consumers have with the creative works they love and rely on.
Seedance 2.0 has virtually no limitations on the generation of any scenario, and the cloning of any individual. This poses a massive security threat and blurs the line between reality and fiction. Without strict consent parameters, and AI labeling of every generated piece of content, Seedance poses a major threat to national security.
NAVA calls on all creatives and those who support human artistry to condemn Bytedance and Seedance 2.0.
Only when we stand together, can we make a difference.

Pitch-perfect response to Interim U.S. Attorney Ed Martin from @GeorgetownLaw Dean Bill Treanor.
It’s always a privilege and honor to be part of the GULC community (and to be Bill’s colleague), but *especially* today.
Proud of prosecutors in SDNY and Washington who resigned rather than carry out DAG Emil Bove’s order to dismiss indictment against NYC Mayor Eric Adams.
Integrity > politics and careerism. https://t.co/5kXXtksR5t
Very proud of the 8 DOJ attorneys who have refused to dismiss the Adams case. Their oath is to the Constitution, not the president.

DOJ leadership has put all Public Integrity Section lawyers into a room with 1 hour to decide who will dismiss Adams indictment or else all will be fired. Sending them strength to stand by their oath, which is to support the Constitution, not the president’s political agenda. 🇺🇸
