@r3tarddownunder@abcnews Can someone educate me on the origins of welcome to country?
Was this normal practise through the centuries?
Other countries were trading with Australia prior to the first fleet. There's too much misinformation out there. My understanding is it's a relatively new concept.
@strangerous10 I like the propaganda wheel the media is pushing. You should be Australian first. You do not hear other citizens of other first world countries say they're African first. They'll say they're American, British, French etc.
That's the definition of monoculture.
What a joke, raising the minimum wage only helps big business. You start to lose competition in the marketplace which will drive up the price. Govt give tax concessions to big companies already. How is labour helping everyday Australians?
If they had any sense they would change laws and drill their own oil.
That's the problem you're not claiming to be Australian first yet you want the privileges of being Australian. Having a heritage of another country shouldn't supersede if you want to be Australian. This mentality of multiculturalism is the problem.
It doesn't make us us, you are free to back to Africa and claim being African till the cows come home.
@KingKennyy__@AlboMP You must have lived under a rock for the past couple of years. If you think this helps Aussies get into the market you're delusioanal.
