❗️The importance of this service can’t be understated and the reintroduction of elective caesareans in 2025 will be the first big milestone on the way to full restoration. For women and families in Moray, increased access to services locally cannot come quick enough.

🏥 The latest position set out is much more positive than previous discussions and the team working on the plans are clearly very determined to deliver on the promise to restore a consultant-led service at Dr Gray’s.

🙌 It is really heartening to hear that 75% of the staff required are now recruited, which will allow the project team to carefully re-build the service in a way that is sustainable and fit for the future.

👶 Programme Director, Jane Gill, and her colleagues briefed us on the progress that has been made to recruit the staff required to rebuild the service, with work well underway to reinstate elective c-sections in the first half of 2025.

On Saturday @RichardLochhead joined the community as the people of Forres celebrated Grant Park’s centenary.

✍️ Amey have provided @RichardLochhead with a further update on their ongoing work at Union Bridge on the A96 in Keith after the area was impacted by a landslide in July.
