Very excited about this wee show about the history of the Culbin & the folklore of Isobel Gowdie.
Delicate little project, but been intriguing to make.

Ballone Castle today, looking out across the Moray Firth from the Tarbat peninsula. It passed between the Dunbars of Tarbat and Munros of Meikle Tarrel before Sir Rorie MacKenzie of Coigach acquired it in 1623. The MacKenzies made substantial additions to it in subsequent years.

Local ramble along the moray coastal trail. New discovery of The Cabrach Well at Cummingston - or The Collach as locals tend to call it. Speculation is that this may have come from ‘an coileach’ - the Gaelic for ‘the eddy’ ? #cummingston#well#walk#moray#history#gaelic
Granted, my interest in surviving
sixteenth- and seventeenth century material culture around northern Scottish firthsides will probably always be a niche one, but it doesn't seem to be waning. #EarlyModern
