Hey! This is a form asking people to report others for receiving gender affirming care. It would really suck if people filled it out with bullshit and submitted it! Definitely don't do that!

The rule about only one vehicle should have feminist up in arms (if the shitty attempts to control what the poor can eat isn't enough for us). This is clearly an attempt to push poor women back to reproductive labor disguised as reducing welfare fraud (which isn't a thing anyway)
The GOP just proposed new restrictions on the types of food eligible for purchase with SNAP benefits, putting even more pressure on families with children.
In addition, they would aim to keep families with more than one vehicle from receiving help. 👎
NYC Uber drivers are ON STRIKE!!! Our strike goes until 11:59 pm tonight. We’re fighting for the raises that Uber stole from us!
Please do not cross our virtual picket line!

.@NYCMayor, who is this for? Involuntary admission to any institution traumatizes. It does not help. Is this for "average" New Yorker? Well, I never signed up for you to hurt people so I can walk down a street where you've removed the evidence of this city's deep inequalities.
Breaking News: New York City will hospitalize more mentally ill people involuntarily, in a push to remove them from streets and subways, Mayor Eric Adams said. https://t.co/XFDchWwKiW
@MarkLevineNYC I'm so sorry. Thanks for being such a resource for your constituents despite this kind of threat. We really appreciate you, and you deserve better than being treated this way.
Two hours into a new audiobook, I realize the theft perpetrated by an elaborate spy network is to...get ready...reclaim unpaid taxes from a wealthy merchant. Yup, a book about tax fraud/enforcement in a magical steampunk universe. As a taxation scholar, I NEED this as a genre!🤣
If there are two applicants for a position who are “equal on paper” and one of them was born with advantages and privilege and the other was not, then they are not equal. The person WITHOUT the advantages has in fact done and proven themselves more based on starting from behind.
A complete list of places in American history that have had socialist representation in Congress, both houses of the state Legislature, and the city council at the same time:
Milwaukee in 1913
Astoria in 2023
From the NYTs "This Summer" newsletter...an article making me ask myself if I the only one who is *usually* looking down so as not to trip over our bumpy sidewalks or step in dog poo...
Early in my career, I worked with @grassEcon (then Koru Kenya) on community currencies (which I barely understood at first). The pilot expanded into a full model of community empowerment, and they just put out the coolest video explaining it. https://t.co/qg9bh7EfBH
@GInsight_org "Humans exist in community with other beings" - so of course we need some kind of feedback/input from/about those other entities for truly participatory research.
Enormously interesting idea - climate-focused participatory research approaches should also consider how "nature speaks," considering nature as a respondent/participant within research projects. #GIbrownbag@GInsight_org
Also, if companies can have rights, why not the source of critical raw materials (like rivers) that feed those companies, and that, even more critically, enable life?
We're talking about how granting rights to nature (like giving a river rights to protect the river from over-use) feels so relevant in light of the dangerous depletion of the Colorado River in the US right now #GIbrownbag@GInsight_org
I adore this assertion that we should abandon development as the key goal/paradigm globally and embrace "buen vivir" or "a good life" instead. Imagine - not "sustainable development goals" but instead "goals for a good life" #GIbrownbag@GInsight_org
