I recently came back to Twitter after a nearly 2 year hiatus, in an attempt to "connect" more.

In that time, I've been in & out of hospital, and have been bed-ridden for 4+ months.

Most of my time is spent online or reading (I can't do much else).

Taking some inspiration from @DrAnnieHickox - I will attempt to share some written personal work regarding my own mental illness journey.

I spent 365 days (give or take) - in a state that the leading MH doctor in my state said was, "like nothing he'd ever seen before."

@TraumaJunkieBen @DrAnnieHickox It's true for every single person (of literally thousands -men, women, non-binary, straight, cis, queer, all faiths & cultures, including our first nation's family—the oldest continual culture on the planet) I've worked with for over 30 years. But that's just my own experience.

They are artists, dancers, painters, illustrators, academics, humanitarian workers — and therapists.

That's why I'm not on x right now.

My friends are dying.

🎤 Blankets + good mic technique + smart setup = solid audio anywhere.
