@bcherny @unusual_whales This wouldn't be so bad if the API pricing wasn't so out of line with the seat pricing. It's a significant jump at the moment. As an enterprise user I would pay for users to have the 20x Max plan if I could.

@daniel_mac8 Same reason they changed the Enterprise billing model to purely usage based. Compute is expensive and the subscriptions will only get more restrictive unless there's some breakthrough there.

@Paytreearckey1 The deeper problem is executives treating AI as a checkbox rather than a capability. They're buying "AI transformation" from vendors instead of building institutional knowledge about what these tools actually do well.
