European Commission - China Fellow - I.D.E.A. —- @YaleLawSch - Paul Tsai China Center (on leave) - China Analyst, Lawyer, Dr. iur. - personal views only
Some personal news: On February 1st, I will be starting a secondment to the @EU_Commission in Brussels as a China fellow at IDEA, the advisory service that reports to @vonderleyen.
I will be on leave from the Paul Tsai China Center of the @YaleLawSch after almost 3 great years in New Haven, where I focused on China’s approach to international law/institutions and trans-Atlantic policy coordination.
I am very grateful to my brilliant colleagues at Yale and for the many experiences in the US (including visiting all 50 states).
I am looking forward to the coming months and meeting you all in Brussels and elsewhere!

"We may become isolated or isolate ourselves because we believe so much in our own standards or the truth of our own standards."
Thought-provoking talk with @MoritzRudolf at @China_Table about China's international ambitions.

Concise interview w/@MoritzRudolf on GSI, GDI, GCI, which "must absolutely be taken seriously... If we want to understand how China intends to reshape the global order, these initiatives are the best we have, as they stem directly from Xi Jinping's thinking."
