Tax write offs and a tax credit is two different things. The first one you spend more than you save on taxes, second you get back what you spent. It’s rare that anything is ever a tax credit.

Let’s say you make $100 cost is $50, profit is now $50. Your tax rate is 30%. So you owe $15.

To reduce $15 dollars of tax you have to spend $50. So tax write off? Yes, but they still be losing money $35.

My guess is they are willing to lose money to expose more women to basketball and eventually they rather watch the real thing the NBA. That’s where they make their money.

The father of a daughter is going to want to watch a real NBA game and now the daughter might want to go watch too because she is interested in basketball.

It’s very simple for sports you have to be born as a female to participate in women’s sport. If you are a intersex( which is rare ) then their eligibility is on a per case basis.

If you really want to be progressive then allow men with full reproductive organs removed be eligible.
