@SizeMichael @Tesla It depends on many factors such as the speed and size of the hail, the angle the hail comes in from, the slope of the roof, etc.

@justincbzz @Tesla It hit ALL of the solar panels. Some were as hard as rocks. Others were soft and slushy. The hard ones damaged the panels and then subsequent ones continued to damage those panels.

@SizeMichael @Tesla Too soon to say since it just happened. After the storm, it hit 9 kW when the sun came back out. Yesterday before the storm, it peaked at 20.1 kW.

Based on the damage, it looks like some big hailstones caused initial damage which then allowed other hailstones to continue to damage the broken panels. EVERY panel was hot by hail. Fortunately not all were damaged.

@skystruckcrypto @Tesla Neither did we until yesterday. On Wednesday, we had golf ball sized hail and no damage. Thursday, the hail was tennis ball sized, the largest I've ever experienced. It lasted meant half an hour. Luckily only 9 panels were damaged!
