@freigenosse @The_Clermontian though the islands would be only a strategic asset nothing more but also an assets without any real utility ( islands on atlantic would be much better for germany if they had a choice ). no real utility to sheer distance between these islands and Germany

@freigenosse @The_Clermontian yes..they still lost them but it is always seen through lenses of national pride rather than pure utility of such territories. probably only the islands had some worth ( not such large drain on resources) though still not the best thing ( only islands in pacific if am not wrong)

@PaweRzonc31946 @RobertReplin @WarNewsPL1 @MON_GOV_PL pozatym polska na duża armię nie może sobie pozwolić.. w sensie takim iż byłby to w takim przypadku kompromis ( duża armia lecz lichej jakości co nie jest w interesie polskim ). lepsza byłaby mniejsza lecz lepiej wyszkolona i uzbrojona armia

@PaweRzonc31946 @RobertReplin @WarNewsPL1 @MON_GOV_PL i tak armia będzie liczyć max 200tyś żołnierzy zawodowych + 50tyś terytorialsów ( dodatkowo spora rezerwa ). sam jestem młody i zainteresowany tymi tematami choć nie widzę żadnej logiki w tym planie ( myślenie życzeniowe po stronie monu )

@PaweRzonc31946 @RobertReplin @WarNewsPL1 @MON_GOV_PL xd... ale jak ktoś miałby utrzymać w inny sposób 500tyś armię ? po prostu podkreślam głupotę tego planu.. możemy mieć conajwyżej 500tyś żołnierzy ( jeżeli nie więcej) ale podczas wojny.. jako rozwinięcie mobilizacyjne

@WarNewsPL1 @MON_GOV_PL xd... roczniki z roku na rok się zmniejszają a ktoś marzy o 500tyś armii przy o wiele gorszej demografii niż za prl-u gdzie wtedy mieliśmy tylko około 300tyś armię (jeżeli się nie mylę).

@RobertReplin @WarNewsPL1 @MON_GOV_PL raczej musiałbyś założyć celowe zwiększenie bezrobocia albo obowiązkowy pobór ( 2lata w wojsku obowiązkowo) żeby coś takiego uzyskać. roczniki są coraz mniejsze a demografi się nie oszuka, to nie jest 2RP żeby móc pozwolić sobie na taką armię

@YuraLegenda @MichaelAArouet still the defense industry was handled poorly in Ukraine as well as the stockpile off the soviet equipment. though the reductions were inevitable and the army still would loss many of its capabilities it could have been handled much better.

@YuraLegenda @MichaelAArouet still when it comes to capabilities even though the armies shrunk, the quality increased of western armies. when it comes to defense industry almost all countries in Europe lost industrial capacity after 1990s. in Ukraine probably the drop off was one of the largest

@Piotr_Stannis @MichaelAArouet not really the biggest reason... their population shrunk quite a lot .. they had massive brain drain etc. proximity to Russia just helped to create a status quo that maintained ukraine in such state

@Mnh_krpt @MichaelAArouet the problem is that a lot of the people left the ukraine... they had a brain drain after the fall of ussr and also the corruption was immense .. ( selling of aircraft carrier )
