Sad news. My first ever Wolves keeper.
Dad sat me on the front wall of the South Bank every week, right behind the goal. He seemed enormous. All the kids used to throw him packets of Wrigleys.

Seen him tell some fabulous stories. Funny bloke with the Wolves in his blood. 😔

Legendary Wolves goalkeeper Phil Parkes sadly passed away this morning at the age of 79.

A larger than life character and a true Wolves hero that will be missed by everyone associated with the club.

Wolves have lost a legend with the sad news of the passing of Phil 'Lofty' Parkes at the age of 79.

Lofty, who passed away peacefully this morning, was not only a great goalkeeper but a wonderful personality with a big heart.
