Kenya is working with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the United Nations High Commission for Refugees to support refugees to take part in sports.

These efforts are harnessing the athletic talent and potential of refugees at Kakuma, Turkana County, and positioning the camp as a hub for Olympic talent.

Met IOC President Thomas Bach and UNHCR Commissioner @FilippoGrandi, @StateHouseKenya Nairobi, and committed to work with their organisations in developing sports in Kenya.

With Mr Bach, we explored potential partnerships between the IOC and the Kenya Academy of Sports to further advance sports by developing sports infrastructure, education and training programmes for our sportsmen and women.
