I just came from Campus where I went to visit my daughter. I owe her admission to God and the effort of one man, Alex Onyia. He challenged JAMB for failing students from Lagos and Southeastern States.

Fortunately, JAMB admitted their error and exams were rewritten. My daughter who had previously scored 179, later scored 299 which gave her straight admission for her chosen course of study.

Alex Onyia organized the successful South East Maths Olympiad where three students Egejurum Onyedikachi, Onwubiko Chimdiebube and Don-Anele Munachimso emerged as champions. They won cash prizes in millions together with their teachers. Many corporate organizations were partners.

The students are currently competing on a global stage at the International STEM Olympiad Grand Finale happening in Rome from July 2nd - 8th.

This is not the effort of the Federal Government of Nigeria or a State Government or Local Government. It is the effort of just one man with support from the citizenry - Alex Onyia!

Take any population on earth.

Teachers bought cars so much that it felt like it was a competition.

My Intro Tech teacher bought a VW Golf
Another teacher bought a BMW 3 Series
A Fine Arts teacher drove Nissan Maxima
Other teachers who were in to businesses now had more than two cars.
Even Guidance and Counseling teachers bought Mitsubishi Gallant that year (automatic transmission, not manual).

I remember always peeping through the glasses of the cars to see how clean these cars were.

It was crazy. Being a Principal of an FGC almost felt like you were a Commissioner of a sort. You had power and they moved like mad.

Teachers had it so good that year.

We must not forgive every single person involved in taking this country’s economy to where we currently are.

Happened just now.

A child abduction happened near my area in Texas and an amber alert rang on my phone (and everyone’s phone) notifying us about it

This also means the authorities are on top of the situation.

Numerous children were abducted in Oyo state and see how govt and law enforcement have managed the situation. A video is currently circulating of men of the Nigerian Police hailing bandits on motorcycles.

A New Nigeria will happen in our lifetime. I’m very optimistic about it.

Next week, I will be taking 3 students and 2 teachers to Rome, Italy, all expenses paid by me.

All visas have been issued and all arrangements have been sorted.

The students will represent Nigeria in the Maths and Science categories of the International STEM Olympiad.

They will compete alongside 154 other countries.

The students who won the 2026 South East Maths Olympiad and the teachers who supported them are going. Both the teachers and the students will experience growth together.

I will continue to push our bright minds to global stages.

In 10 years, I pray you will be alive to see the outcome of our investments in our children today.

Posted something about people getting their PVCs last week on my WhatsApp and my mum sent me a message basically advising me to stop speaking up because ‘danger’ 💀

I simply replied ‘no, I will not’ and then sent her a copy of my annual tax report.
