Dr. Gilbert Marava Shanga, a US-based Kenyan leader, has officially handed over The Equitable Party (TEP) to Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna for his 2027 presidential bid.
Dr. Shanga, who originally founded and registered the party alongside his affiliates in 2022, led a leadership restructuring during an official ceremony in Nairobi.
He and the founding members confirmed they are stepping aside to formally install Sifuna as the new party leader and TEP's presidential flagbearer.
