The Titanic, also known as the Royal Mail Ship (RMS) Titanic, was a luxurious British passenger liner that tragically sank on April 14-15, 1912. It was on its maiden voyage from Southampton, England to New York City when it encountered an iceberg and suffered severe damage. The disaster resulted in the loss of approximately 1,500 passengers and crew members.

The sinking of the Titanic has become an iconic event in history, inspiring various narratives, films, musicals, and extensive research and speculation by scholars and scientists.
