“Chris Bowens department has launched a cross-agency working group to fight back against "climate misinformation" it claims is thwarting the nation's troubled green energy transition, as the Climate Change Authority led by Matt Kean stands accused of colluding with activists on a "stealth carbon tax".

The department, when contacted for comment about the working group, cited “strong and persistent public concern about the spread of climate and energy misinformation" presented to a Greens-proposed and Greens-led Senate inquiry earlier this year.

The CCA said the new working group could: establish a "more collaborative approach to addressing climate misinformation" by developing a shared message framework across agencies; translate technical policy into practical explanations; use audience insight and misinformation monitoring to identify risks; and establish a "whole-of-government rapid-response approach to climate and energy misinformation".

The insights paper - "Misinformation: A climate policy risk" - said climate misinformation was "part of a broader challenge around information integrity that affects many policy areas ... effective responses require co-ordination across government, with different agencies contributing expertise, insights and actions.”

It’s crystal clear what happened.

The Albanese government diverted anti-terrorism resources and attention away from Islamic extremism toward the so-called “far right,” and it did so for pure nakedly political reasons.

That choice left the country exposed.

Bondi was the result.

That is why Albanese first resisted a Royal Commission. He did not want a serious examination of the consequences of putting his political interests ahead of national security.

And Remember how quickly the ABC told the country that Bondi had nothing to do with Islamic extremism — even after an ISIS flag was found in the terrorists’ car.

The ABC was scrambling to try and cover up for the Albanese regime.

When the demand for a Royal Commission became politically unbearable, Albanese relented. But he structured it to fail. A whitewash.

We have now had the farcical spectacle of Netball Australia giving evidence while the AFP Commissioner and senior members of the Albanese government have not been properly grilled on the diversion of counter-terrorism resources away from Islamic extremism.

The whole process is a whitewash.

I hope One Nation adopts a policy of holding a fair-dinkum Royal Commission into Bondi — one that actually examines how this government ranked political convenience above the safety of the nation.

What an absolute disgrace.

The first law officer of the land, Attorney-General Michelle Rowland in the Albanese Regime, has just engaged in textbook victim-blaming — implying Pauline Hanson has brought death threats on herself.

This is the Attorney-General’s reported line:“I don’t wish any politician any ill will, irrespective of their political persuasion … BUT I think sometimes when comments like this are made, one needs to look at oneself and one’s behaviour.”

She also suggested Hanson “should examine what her party and what her ideology and her behaviour is doing, and whether or not that is encouraging that.”

The nation’s chief law officer should never create excuses for violence or shift responsibility onto the person being threatened.

Death threats are a crime. The only person responsible is the one making them.

Suggesting a politician “look at herself,” her party, her ideology or the “standards” she accepts is an attempt to rationalise intimidation.

That is not the language of someone fit to uphold the law. Michelle Rowland is unfit for office.

What’s next?

Women who go out in public “scantily dressed” and are sexually assaulted “need to look at themselves and their behaviour and the kinds of standards that they accept”?

It is exactly the same logic: blame the target, soften the crime, and treat violence as an understandable consequence of speech or association you dislike.

And remember it was only last week that elderly female One Nation volunteer was bashed in public by leftist thugs.

An Attorney-General’s first duty is equal protection under the law, not political scoring while a senator’s security detail is being ramped up because of threats.

Condemning violence without the “BUT she should look at herself” caveat is the minimum standard. Rowland failed it.

Rowland has demonstrated she is completely unfit for office. But sadly, she is another example of the worst Government in our nation’s history.

AUSTRALIA, WE HAVE SEEN THIS MOVIE BEFORE

Anthony Albanese has just declared that One Nation “must” be defeated, saying Labor “owe it to history”.

Those words made me go back and look at the history. Australians should do the same, because what happened to Pauline Hanson and One Nation more than 20 years ago should never be forgotten.

In 1998 One Nation exploded onto the Queensland political scene, winning 11 seats and nearly 23% of the statewide vote. It represented a serious threat to the political establishment, particularly the Coalition’s traditional voter base.

Then Liberal frontbencher Tony Abbott went after One Nation’s registration.

This isn’t conspiracy theory. Abbott established Australians for Honest Politics, a trust fund that raised almost $100,000 to support legal action against One Nation. Former One Nation candidate Terry Sharples launched the Supreme Court challenge. Abbott openly said he considered it important to challenge Hanson’s party.

The challenge succeeded.

One Nation’s registration was overturned in 1999 and the matter was referred to police. After a lengthy investigation, Hanson and David Ettridge were prosecuted.

In August 2003 Pauline Hanson was convicted of electoral fraud and sentenced to three years in prison. She was also convicted over almost $500,000 in electoral funding.

Then something extraordinary happened.

After Hanson had spent 11 weeks behind bars, the Queensland Court of Appeal unanimously quashed the convictions and directed that verdicts of acquittal be entered. Chief Justice Paul de Jersey’s judgment raised serious concerns about the evidence and the case that had put her behind bars.

To be clear, a later Crime and Misconduct Commission investigation found no misconduct or political interference in the criminal prosecution. Tony Abbott did not prosecute or jail Pauline Hanson.

But he absolutely participated in the political and legal campaign against One Nation that preceded it. That is historical fact.

Now jump forward 23 years.

One Nation is again threatening the established political order, and Anthony Albanese is publicly declaring: “We simply must defeat them. We owe it to history.”

That should make Australians pay attention.

I am not a member of One Nation. I am not a member of Labor or the Liberal Party either. I don’t believe One Nation is perfect and I don’t agree with everything Pauline Hanson says.

But right now I see One Nation as a wrecking ball through a political system desperately in need of disruption.

For decades Australians have bounced between Labor and the Coalition expecting something fundamentally different. #Meanwhile housing has become unaffordable, cost of living is smashing families, government debt has exploded and Australians increasingly believe the political system isn’t working for them.

And now voters are moving.

#My concern is that history may repeat itself, not necessarily through exactly the same events, but through the same political instinct: destroy the threat rather than ask why millions of Australians are turning to it.

Watch carefully from here.
#Scrutinise One Nation. Absolutely. Investigate its candidates, challenge its policies and expose wrongdoing if it exists.

But apply exactly the same microscope to Labor, Liberal, Nationals and Greens.
Because when the Prime Minister says a political opponent “must” be defeated and that Labor “owe it to history”, Australians should remember what that history actually contains.

Eleven weeks later, the convictions were thrown out and she walked free.
Australians should never blindly follow any political party.

But neither should we blindly trust the political establishment when its control is threatened.
This time, watch everything.

Martyna Ogonowska has lost her appeal. This is atrocious. Martyna was just 18 when she was sexually assaulted by a man named Filip Jaskiewicz. A rape survivor, she was carrying a knife, and she stabbed Jaskiewicz once, killing him.

At her trial, the judge accepted that Martyna had been violently and sexually assaulted, but because she was carrying a knife, her actions were considered unlawful, and she was sentenced to 17 years in prison. Worse, she’s still behind bars, while Banaras Hussein, leader of the Rotherham rape gang, is already free on licence.

This is the UK in 2026: a country where a man who doused a little girl in gasoline and threatened to set her on fire spends less time in prison than a woman who killed in admitted self defense.
