@emmilytalpe @WesternFrontWay Special visit on the 32192nd last post ceremony : cwgc dir gen Claire Horton CBE , Vice Chairman Gen Sir Bill Rollo KBC CBE and Sir Anthony Seldon Trustee Western Front Way
@DanHillHistory @GuildofBG We hope to return to the ceremonies soon without restrictive measures. That will be a lot more pleasant and better for both employees and visitors.
In the meantime, we continue with our sole purpose: to honor and remember the Commonwealth soldiers who fell in the Ypres Salient .
@DanHillHistory @GuildofBG Is everything perfect? Probably not. Do we try to perform our responsibilities as professionally as possible: yes.
Courtesy is a value we hold dear. However, not all employees are equally highly trained, not all equally articulate and not all are perfect in the English language.
@DanHillHistory @GuildofBG Today, the organization of the daily ceremony is complicated by the mandatory application of the covid measures:
-Maximum 400 people at designated spots
- Everyone on social distance
- Mask duty
Our employees, all volunteers, try to guide people as best as possible.
The Ypres Salient says goodbye to the New Zealand Ambassador as he heads back home later this month. Tonny Desodt, bugler, receives a presentation as a thank you for his dedication and service.
