For the past 2 months, Iโve been refilling my gas at a local station to support small businesses. I noticed my tank never lasts even 3 weeks.
Today, while waiting in line, an older lady told me hers doesnโt even last 2 weeks. I suspect theyโre not filling to the full amount so customers return sooner.
I left the line and went to Makro instead to refill and compare.
Comrades Marathon Appreciation ๐๐ฝ๐
May I extend my sincere appreciation to everyone for the supportive messages following my 1st Comrades Marathon run. This is one marathon that demands extraordinary resilience, determination, and endurance. Thank you for your encouragement and support.
A special word of appreciation goes to my family, especially my wife, Nelly Zikalala, for their unwavering support throughout this journey.
My heartfelt thanks also go to Chillie Runners for their guidance and camaraderie, and to the iMbawula Camp team for the intense training sessions that helped prepare me for this challenge.
To the people of South Africa, particularly the people of KwaZulu-Natal, thank you for coming out in your numbers to support the race and cheer on the runners. Your energy and encouragement along the route made a remarkable difference.
I also salute the leaders who took to the streets to stand with the people and support the runners. MEC Gugu Simelane-Mngadi at Cowies Hill and MEC Siboniso Duma at Cato Ridge demonstrated that leadership is not about sharing in the glory, but about being present with the people when it matters most.
Thank you to everyone for your support! ๐๐ฝ
