@Jon_Barclay@foi_requests@doctimcook Jon - urology might not administer it routinely odd their own back, but ortho frequently do. It's standard practice from their end, not the head end.
@Grassonmydesk @Lover_Of_Neuro And that 70k will balloon to ยฃ250k in many situations due to the onerous interest rates and that pay is so low for 10 years. It takes being a consultant before you start paying back enough to pay the capital.
And why are you comparing a band 6 (experienced) with an F1?
@Grassonmydesk @Lover_Of_Neuro The band 7 physio won't pay back ยฃ250k in student debt for starters.
And pay should be about what you can do now. Not what you might be able to do in 10 years if you survive the myriad of hoops and bottlenecks along the way.
@Anniedroid_@MedReddit@Doctors_Vote I don't really post on Twitter much, but I'll make an exception to wish you both congrats! We all know who's his real favourite now ๐
@helloworldbbd@Xeon4f145d96s1@Vish_Sharm @LivHospitals @jamessumnerNHS When I was an F2, alone on a medical ward, I had a trust CEO come up me, introduce himself, ask who I was, and if I had any issues that he might be able to help sort out.
They're rare as unicorn teeth, but they do exist.
@alastairmiller3 ...and nothing of value was lost...
Such a shame your specialty's trainees can't stop paying your organisation, because they certainly aren't getting their money's worth.
@BuddGeorgie@Brozapine Lifetime earnings are an irrelevant whataboutism. We are in this mess because checks and balances were not put in place.
People should be paid for the work they are doing. This is the fundamental issue. Everything else is just noise.
@JustStop_Oil The level of intelligence on show here was astoundingly bad. Even ignoring the point about protesting when medical teams were responding to a possible emergency, you protested when the race was already stopped. Idiots should have waited until the race was underway to make a point
@PMGallagher1 From your latest article: "Many higher student trainees were unable to complete their training"
Please stop spreading the myth they are students. They are experienced, fully qualified doctors who may have been practicing for 10 or more years.
@duolingoUK Oi! Tried logging in yesterday and couldn't because of maintenance. Was told my streak would be protected but hey-ho, appears I've used up a streak freeze. What's gives Duo?!
